Redspot Whiting

A sandy-brown to pinkish whiting, with a series of oblique rusty-red to orange-brown bands along the back and upper side, an indistinct silver midlateral stripe bordered above by small rusty-red blotches. This versatile fish can be prepared in a number of ways including steaming, baking, barbecuing and grilling, but the most common is frying.
